DEVELOPMENT & POWER LINES

Power lines, whether overhead or underground, often cause issues when development sites are planned.

The voltage and whether they are overhead or underground, will normally dictate whether the DNO (electricity company) are prepared to look at relocation or not.

​

With National Grid, due to the expense of their equipment, it is normally very unlikely that a relocation option will be available. In these cases careful assessment of the loss of development will need to be calculated.

BLB Utilities are currently involved with several large schemes of this magnitude and ideally placed to assist small and large developers to realise appropriate levels of compensation.

With lower voltage lines we can assist with possible electrical network alterations to ensure developments can take place as designed.
