BLB were appointed by English Heritage to undertake Cost Management for this scheme, comprising of reroofing to the East wing alongside repair & maintenance to the West wing. Additionally, extensive structural repairs & stabilisation works were undertaken to most rooftop defence structures, alongside works to ancillary features such as chimneys, firing platforms & hand railings. 

The works were sympathetic in nature to honour the historic importance of the structure, involving the use of specialist materials & meticulous technical application, whilst also remaining open to the public for the duration of the works.
